O-My-O Chapter honors member for service work

AUSTINTOWN -- O-My-O Chapter of the American Business Women's Association met Feb. 15 at the Saxon Club to honor Harriet L. MacAvoy of Warren, formerly of Austintown. as its Woman of the Year for 2001.
MacAvoy joined the organization in 1997 and has served as its vice president since 1999. She has also served on the ways and means and education committees and has been a delegate for the ABWA Network Council, which includes eight area chapters. She has also worked on the council's annual fall fashion show and has coordinated its participation in the St. Patrick's Day parade for 2000 and 2001.
She owns and operates Snowflake Flag Car Escort Service and is a member of the Specialized Carriers & amp; Rigging Association. She attends Struthers United Methodist Church, where she is a member-at-large of its administrative board and serves on the auditing committee. She has three sons and two grandchildren.
MacAvoy will serve as the chapter's delegate to the national convention this year in Phoenix.
