MARY A. STOWE, 79
PULASKI, Pa. -- Services were to be at 11 a.m. today in Pulaski United Methodist Church for Mary A. Stowe, 79, of State Route 208, Main Street, who died Tuesday morning in Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, after a short illness.
Mrs. Stowe was born March 15, 1921, in Mercer County, a daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Kimmel Fleet.
She graduated from Hickory High School and had attended Shenango Valley Business School. She first worked at Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric, and then was a bookkeeper at Leali Brothers of Wheatland and the corporate offices of Fischers Big Wheel in New Castle, from which she retired in 1982.
A homemaker, she was a member of the church and its Women's Society, and was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 105 in New Castle, Pulaski Snappy Dragon Garden Club and Pulaski Homemakers Club.
Her husband, Harvey B., whom she married July 24, 1948, died Jan. 31, 1995.
She leaves three daughters, Marilyn Wallace of Pulaski Township, Marsha Monstwil of Pulaski, and Marjorie Agnew of New Castle; a son, Robert K. of Pulaski Township; two brothers, Virgil Fleet of Grove City and Richard Fleet of Athens, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.
Four brothers, Harvey, Samuel, Clyde and Robert Fleet, are deceased.
Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home in New Wilmington. Contributions may be made to the church, Water Street, Pulaski 16143.
