EAST PALESTINE -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home for Michael J. Pieri, 52, of Main Street, Newell, W.Va., formerly of East Palestine, who died of cancer Monday afternoon in Mount Olive, W.Va.
Mr. Pieri was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Salem, a son of Samuel V. and Ann Plivolich Pieri, and lived in East Palestine most of his life. He worked as a mechanic for area companies for several years.
Besides his stepmother, Geraldine Pieri of East Palestine, he leaves a daughter, Michaelean Pieri in West Virginia; four brothers, Leonard Pieri and Robert Compton, both of East Palestine, Dennis Pieri Parker of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Patrick Compton of New Waterford; and three sisters, Deborah Keagy, Clare Rhodes and Paula Fristik, all of East Palestine.
Friends may call for one hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
