CANFIELD -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Apollo Free Methodist Church, Apollo, Pa., for L. Russell Shank, 88, of 386 Fairground Blvd., who died Wednesday in Austinwoods Nursing Home, Austintown.
Mr. Shank was born Feb. 3, 1913, in Apollo, a son of Louis W. and Estella Stokes Shank.
He was a machinist for Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 21 years before retiring in 1975 and was a member of the church.
His first wife, the former Glenna Moorhead, whom he married in 1932, died in 1950.
Besides his wife, the former Gladys Knight, whom he married March 20, 1954, he leaves a son, Leland R. of Claremont, Calif.; a daughter, Marilyn Foy of Austintown; a sister, Maxine Trebilcock of Northeast Palm Bay, Fla.; two brothers, Edward of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jay of Bensalem, Pa.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Three brothers, George, Ira and Vincent; and a sister, Audrey Bier, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown, and one hour before services in the church.
