JOHN HOMICK, 89

AUSTINTOWN -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Edward Church for John Homick, 89, of 4780 Kirk Road, who died late Tuesday in Austinwoods Nursing Center.
Mr. Homick was born June 4, 1911, in Campbell, a son of Samuel and Mary Spolski Homick, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown and the YMCA, and worked for Republic Steel as a bricklayer for 39 years before retiring in 1977.
He leaves three brothers, Bernard of Tampa, Fla., Edward of Youngstown and William of Rockville, Md.; and a sister, Anne Deemer of Youngstown.
A sister, Cecelia Monahan, is deceased.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until services in the church.
Contributions may be made to the church building fund.
Arrangements are by McCauley Funeral Home.
