HELEN T. ZIPAY, 83

WHEATLAND -- Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sherman Funeral Home, Hermitage, for Helen T. Zipay, 83, of 3058 Ridgewood Road, Akron, formerly of Wheatland, who died Thursday afternoon in Ridgewood Place, Akron, after a long illness.
Mrs. Zipay was born March 8, 1917, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Sophia Kluka Taptik.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norton, and a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Sharon.
Her husband, Michael, whom she married Oct. 26, 1940, died June 28, 1988.
She leaves a daughter, Martha Ann Macko of Norton; two grandsons; and a great-grandchild.
A brother, John Taptik, is deceased.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to St. Matthew Church in Norton, Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Sharon or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
