Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hayes mark 50th anniversary at reception



BESSEMER, Pa. -- Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hayes of Bessemer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a reception May 27 at Craig Fellowship Hall of Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church, Mount Jackson, Pa.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' children and son-in-law, Pati D'Apolito of Boardman; Pamela and Bob Barber and Terry Hayes, all of Bessemer; and John Hayes of Lakewood.
The former Lourine Henry and Mr. Hayes were married Feb. 26, 1951, at the Mount Jackson church, where they have been members for 50 years.
Mrs. Hayes was executive manager at Ohio Works Federal Credit Union, later known as Youngstown Greater West Side Federal Credit Union. She also managed RMI Credit Union in Niles.
Mr. Hayes worked as a debt agent for Prudential Insurance Co., Boardman, and retired in 1997 from Essroc Cement Co. in Bessemer, Pa.
The couple and their children also marked the jubilee with a trip to Bayonet Point, Fla.
The family circle includes seven grandchildren. A grandson is deceased.
