Miccos honored at surprise party for anniversary



STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Tony Micco, 426 W. Omar Ave., were the guests of honor June 3 at a surprise party held at the Lockwood House in Boardman in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple also renewed their wedding vows June 2 during the 5:30 p.m. Mass at St. Nicholas Church.
Hosts for the celebration were the couple's children and their spouses, Loretta and George Dinda of Boardman, Diana and Charles Petro of Newark, Patricia and Louis Paradiso of Mentor, Anthony Micco of Struthers, Keith and Renee Micco of Boardman, and William and Rhonda Micco of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Mr. Micco and the former Geraldine John were married June 3, 1951, at St. John Maronite Catholic Church in New Castle, Pa. She worked as a cashier for 20 years in a supermarket owned by her parents, and he was employed for 29 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., then worked for seven years for the city of Struthers. He also served two years in the U.S. Army.
Seven grandchildren complete their family.
