Board releases money for projects
COLUMBUS -- The State Controlling Board approved the release of $196,565 to the state Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities for a heating and air conditioning project at the Youngstown Developmental Center in Mineral Ridge.
The board released $150,000 to the Columbiana County Port Authority to offset costs of an access road near a Wellsville industrial park and $124,404 to Youngstown State University, including an unbid, $119,404 contract with Lero, Rollence and Moinette Inc. of Akron for engineering design and construction management services for the Ward Beecher Hall upgrade project.
The board also released $30,000 to YSU to buy real estate as part of the University Master Plan.
There was no immediate word as to when the projects would begin or be completed.
