Parents announce Durkin-Houck wedding plans

BOARDMAN -- The engagement of Kathleen M. Durkin and James M. Houck, both of Boardman, is being announced by their parents.
Miss Durkin, a daughter of Thomas M. and Pamela J. Durkin of Youngstown, is a registered dietitian. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in nutrition and is completing a master's in nutrition at the University of Akron.
Mr. Houck is a son of Ronald Houck of Cortland and Becky Houck of Lordstown. He graduated from Ohio State University School of Journalism in Columbus with a bachelor's degree in journalism and is a media relations specialist with Bell and Howell-ProQuest in Richfield.
The couple will be married during an open ceremony they have planned for 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for their evening reception at Antone's Banquet Centre.
