Howland pitcher receives awards



HOWLAND -- Vasili Pahoulis, a junior at Howland High School, took home several awards at the school's recent banquet honoring the baseball team.
Pahoulis led the team in several offensive categories, including triples, doubles, home runs, total bases and batting average. He batted .404 for the season.
As a pitcher, Pahoulis had a 1-2 record and 1.60 earned run average. He was a unanimous selection to the All-Metro Athletic Conference team. He was named team MVP and offensive player of the year.
Pahoulis plays for Line Drive Academy of the Youngstown Class B League.
