Wissingers mark golden event during party
BOARDMAN -- A party May 26 at the Lockwood House in Boardman honored Mr. and Mrs. Benton H. Wissinger Jr. of Boardman on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the festivity were the honorees' daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Wayne Sears of Maryland, and Mrs. Wissinger's sister, Eleanor Burnett of Centerville, and nieces, Joan Marbais of Columbus and Jane Bernard of Xenia.
The former Dorothy Seymour and Mr. Wissinger were married June 2, 1951, at Epworth Methodist Church.
Mrs. Wissinger had worked at General Fireproofing in Youngstown. She sings with the Sisters and Friends Quartet.
Retiring in 1985 from General Fireproofing after 43 years of service, Mr. Wissinger also served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
They are members of Boardman United Methodist Church.
