Jenger Downey, Jeffrey Schmersal are engaged

POLAND -- The engagement of Jenger Downey and Jeffrey Schmersal, both of 667 Hartford St., Worthington, is being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Joseph and Jacquelyn Downey, 2956 Red Maple Lane.
The future groom's parents are Robert and Mary Jo Schmersal of Ottawa, Ohio.
The bride-elect, a special-education teacher with Gahanna City Schools, graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in education of the hearing impaired and deaf.
The prospective groom earned a bachelor's degree in environmental health from BGSU and is a health and safety engineer with the Liebert Corp. in Worthington.
An open wedding is planned by the couple for 2:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at St. Michael Parish in Worthington. They will issue invitations for their evening reception at Valley Dale Ballroom in Columbus.
