Kimberly Howell and Scott Hynes to wed Aug. 4

The engagement of Kimberly Howell, daughter of Walter and Diane Howell of 13 Cherokee Drive, Girard, and Scott Hynes, son of Eugenia Hynes, 440 E. Montrose St., Liberty, and John F. Hynes III of Girard, is announced by their parents.
An open-church ceremony is planned for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at St. Edward's Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty.
Miss Howell graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., with a bachelor's degree in human nutrition and foods. She is a research technician with M & amp; G Polymers, USA, LLC, in Akron.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in geology, Mr. Hynes is a geo-technical engineer with Professional Service Industries in Youngstown.
