Linsleys to be honored at open reception



EAST PALESTINE -- Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Linsley, 644 E. Main St., will be honored from 3 to 5 p.m. June 17 at an open reception at First Church of Christ in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event will be the couple's children and daughter-in-law, Roger E. and Lynn Linsley of East Palestine and Laurel Holland of Tamarac, Fla. Their son-in-law, James Holland, is unable to attend. Three grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Linsley and the former Doris Harshman were married June 30, 1951, at Central Christian Church in Youngstown. He served in the 45th Infantry Division in the Korean War and was owner of Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home until retiring in 1991. He is a member of the Kiwanis, American Legion Post 31, VFW Post 4579 and East Palestine Lodge 417 F. & amp; A.M.
His wife retired in 1984 from the Poland Schools where she was an English teacher for 30 years. She belongs to the Ohio Retired Teachers and Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
The Linsleys are members of First Church of Christ.
