Summa cum laude
David A. Williamson of Austintown received his doctor of chiropractic degree summa cum laude from the National College of Health Science, Lombard, Ill. He was honored as class treasurer and was on the dean's list.
Williamson is a 1992 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and a 1997 graduate of Ohio State University. He is a founding partner of Advanced Physical Medicine and Rehab in Chicago, where he will begin practice in July.
He is the son of Dave and Nancy Williamson of Austintown, and lives in Charles, Ill., with his wife, Michelle and daughter, Emilie.

In education
Michael G. Marshall, formerly of Hubbard, received a doctorate degree in education from Michigan State University.
Marshall, son of Frank G. and the late Rita Madeline Marshall of Hubbard, is executive director of the Greater Lansing Catholic Education Foundation.
Pharmacy degree
Natalie J. Boulos, a 1995 graduate of Canfield High School, received a doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh. She is the daughter of Elias and Kathleen Coulos of Canfield.
HONORS
For photographs
Michael J. Lacivita of Youngstown has had three of his entries accepted in the fifth annual Hoyt Budding Artists Exhibition. The exhibition runs through June 29. Lacivita took photographs of Amish country life in the New Wilmington, Pa., area.
The exhibition's opening reception was today at the New Castle art gallery on East Leasure Avenue.
SCOUTS
Earns Eagle award
Scott J. Harman, son of Rick and Joan Harman of Columbiana, recently received his Eagle Scout award at a court of honor in New Waterford Presbyterian Church.
Harman joined Boy Scout Troop 16 in Columbiana at 11. He later transferred to Troop 70 in New Waterford, which is based at the church. He has served as patrol leader, senior patrol leader, and junior assistant scoutmaster.
He is a member of the Order of the Arrow and attended Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M., in 1998 and 2000.
His Eagle service project was to create a Web page for The Good News Parish, a five-church parish in Columbiana County.
He is a senior at Columbiana High School and a member of the church. He will be attending college at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
Another winner
Jim Freeze, a son of Geri and Ed Freeze of Boardman, received his Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor in Boardman United Methodist Church. He is a member of Troop 46, which meets at the church. Eric Grabman is the scoutmaster.
Freeze became a Boy Scout in 1994, earned 22 merit badges and many awards, and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
He completed an international Eagle service project by organized about 150 teen-agers to put in more than 450 volunteer hours moving and cleaning equipment, repairing furniture and organizing supplies from the closed St. Dominic School in Youngstown. More than four semi-truckloads were shipped to Africa and Central America to furnish classrooms in Third World countries.
Freeze is a senior at Boardman High School, where he was student council president, Key Club vice president, and treasurer for the senior class and math club. He is a member of National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society, and attended Ohio Business Week, Ohio Association of Student councils, and Buckeye Boys State, where he was nominated for Boys Nation.
He has accepted an appointment to U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.
