Residence: Blackburn Home in Poland.
Married: Vera Howe in September of 1932. She died in April 1976.
Children: Dr. James K. Swisher of Murphysboro, Ill., and Margaret A. Harker of Poland.
Grandchildren: Six.
Great-grandchildren: Nine.
Background: Retired in 1966 from United Engineering and Foundry Co. in Youngstown after more than 40 years of service. Mr. Swisher also enjoys watching sports on television, especially baseball. In his younger days, his hobbies were furniture refinishing, gardening, pool and bowling.
Celebration: A birthday party was held in his honor July 29 at the home of his daughter in Poland. Mr. Swisher also will be the guest of honor at a celebration planned for the first week of August at the Blackburn Home.
