Fine-arts competition
CANFIELD -- The deadline for entering work in the fine-arts competition at the 2001 Canfield Fair is Aug. 10. Entry forms postmarked after that date will not be accepted.
The competition is open to fine art, photography and painting on porcelain in professional, adult and student divisions. All designs must be original; paintings and photographs must be framed and include wire hangers.
Artwork must not exceed 30 by 40 or 1,200 square inches inside the frame; photographs must be at least 8 by 10 inches but no larger than 16 by 20 or 320 square inches inside the frame. Work must have been completed within the last two years and must be labeled on the back with the artist's name, address and phone number. Entry forms are available at the Canfield Fair office.
Help with bills, air
WARREN -- Trumbull Community Action Program is accepting applications from people who need help paying electric bills or need an air conditioner for medical reasons.
Three months' proof of income, identification and a current electric bill are required. Air conditioners are available to eligible Trumbull County residents with documented upper respiratory breathing problems.
