Tirabassi 50th is observed during reception

STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Sam P. Tirabassi of 361 Poland Ave., were guests of honor at a reception held July 28 at St. Mary's Banquet Center in Boardman to mark their 50th wedding anniversary.
The honorees' children and their spouses made arrangements for the event. They are Diane and Dominic Lippillo Jr. of Struthers, Sam Tirabassi Jr. of Columbiana, Patricia and Neil Hoezel of Dayton, Anthony and Shawn Tirabassi of Austintown, Angela and Mike Ondo of Girard, Paula and Kenyon McLaughlin of Austintown, and Lillian and John Popa Jr. of Poland.
Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown was the setting for the couple's wedding on July 28, 1951. They are members of St. Nicholas Church.
Mr. Tirabassi retired in 1978 from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. Now semi-retired, he works at Aztec Manufacturing in Youngstown. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Tirabassi is a member of VFW Post 3538.
Mrs. Tirabassi, the former Florence Peachock, is a homemaker.
The family circle includes 17 grandchildren.
