Open house set for celebration of Cole jubilee

CORTLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cole, 2713 Ridge Road, will be honored during an open house from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 11 at Cortland Opera House.
Arrangements for the event to celebrate the couple's 50th wedding anniversary are being made by their children and their spouses, Gayle and Ed Lesh and Jeff and Patty Cole, all of Fowler; Bob and Polli Cole of Kinsman; and Karla and Bill Durig of Vienna, and their eight grandchildren.
Mr. Cole and the former Virginia McCall exchanged marriage vows Aug. 17, 1951, at Champion Christian Church in Champion.
A homemaker, Mrs. Cole is a member of Fowler Community Church and its Missionary Helpers and Bible study.
Retiring in 1994, Mr. Cole was an assembler at Star Fab in Vienna. He is a member of Trumbull County Antique Steam and Power Association, Cortland Masonic Lodge No. 529, the Farm Bureau and Fowler Community Church.
