Howland Stars -- won both the Springfield and Mill Creek All-Star Tournaments recently. The team went 6-1, coming out of the losers bracket to defeat the Austintown Cardinals by the scores of 6-5 and 4-2 to win the Mill Creek All-Star Classic. The Stars went 9-1 and had to win seven games in a row coming out of the losers bracket to beat Boardman East by the scores of 4-1 and 8-5 to take the championship for the Springfield All-Star Classic. The Howland Stars also took first place in the Champion Hot Stove "H" regular season league, posting an 11-1 record.
