YOUNGSTOWN -- Marcy Joy Costello, daughter of Pat and Guy Costello, 5530 Beechwood Drive, Poland, was married at 3 p.m. June 30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to Brian J. Barnes, son of Frances and Marvin Barnes of Kentucky, formerly of Canfield.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated, and a reception took place at The Georgetown in Boardman. The couple spent their honeymoon in Hawaii and are living in Secaucus, N.J.
An off-the-shoulder gown of matte satin was worn by the bride. The corset-style waist was embellished with trapunta embroidery, and the skirt featured a detachable cathedral train.
Her sisters, Michele Lettau and Marla LaMarca, were matrons of honor, and bridesmaids were Mary Costello, her sister-in-law; Amy Cicchillo; Carrie Coppola; Susan Knisley; Kristen Patellis; Melissa Moorehead; and Kristin Cachine. They wore champagne and black ensembles. The bride's niece, Giuliana LaMarca, was flower girl.
Michael Lettau, the bride's brother-in-law, was best man, and groomsmen were Gene LaMarca, the bride's brother-in-law; Guy Costello, her brother; Rob Cicchillo; Chris Mastramico; Anthony Patellis; Jim Gaca; Nick Nedostup; and Matt Dobos.
Mrs. Barnes holds a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and a master's degree from Hunter College in New York City. She is a social studies teacher with the New York City schools.
Her husband holds a master's degree from YSU and is editor-in-chief of Jonas Publishing Co. in Newark, N.J.
