Juris doctor
Jonathan Morgan, son of Daniel and Diane Morgan of Cedarwood Drive, Mineral Ridge, recently graduated from Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law where he received the degree of juris doctor.
On campus, Morgan was active in the Daniel S. Guy Appellate Advocacy Competition and the Christian Legal Society.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron.
SCOUTS
Eagle award recipient
Sean P. Freaney, 17, son of John and Sally Freaney of Boardman, will receive his Eagle Scout Award at a court of honor Aug. 5 in Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Freaney has been a member of Troop 60, which meets at the church, since 1996. His scoutmaster is Greg Roush. He was previously a member of Cub Scout Pack 114.
He has earned 25 merit badges and has had leadership positions of chaplain's aide, librarian, scribe, patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader.
His Eagle service project was to construct an erosion control project in Boardman Park to save a bridge and path.
Freaney is a junior at Cardinal Mooney High School and is a member of St. Charles Church, Boardman, where he was an altar server. He is a member of Children's International Summer Village and has visited The Netherlands, Norway and Paris.

Doctorate of philosophy
Lisa-Marie Napoli, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Napoli of Boardman, has received her doctorate of philosophy in public affairs degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
She will continue her work as administrative director at the Indiana Conflict Resolution Institute.
Napoli received her cum laude bachelor's degree in communication and master's degree in public policy and management from The Ohio State University.
She continues to participate in youth mediation programs, community radio and creative dance in Indiana. She is a 1987 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.
