AUSTIN, Texas -- Jennifer Rebecca Bender and Dr. R. James Cretella, both of Austin, Texas, were married June 30 during an outdoor ceremony for the immediate family at 6 p.m. in Austin.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, is a daughter of Yvonne Bender, 531 Greenmont Drive, Canfield, and the late Robert L. Bender. The groom is a son of Richard L. Cretella, 101 Sawmill Run Drive, Canfield, and the late Jean Cretella.
A postnuptial reception by invitation is planned for Aug. 3 at Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park, Youngstown.
The newlyweds honeymooned at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live in Austin.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford and a master's of business administration at the University of Dayton. She is a senior financial analyst with Dell Financial Services in Austin.
The groom graduated with a bachelor's degree in pre-professional services from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., and Ohio State University Medical School, Columbus, with a medical degree. He is an emergency-medicine physician in Killeen, Texas.
Carrie Bender of Raleigh, N.C., the sister of the bride, was honor attendant.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown enhanced by seed pearls and crystals.
