Family dinner held to honor Edwards 50th

STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Larry Edwards, 154 Smithfield St., will be honored during a family dinner Aug. 18 at Struthers United Methodist Church in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements are being made by the honorees' children and their spouses, Charles Edwards and Valerie and Ken Robenolt, all of Struthers, and Pamela and Jim Vasilchek of Lowellville.
The former Esther Andre and Mr. Edwards exchanged marriage vows Aug. 18, 1951, in Jefferson, Ind.
Prior to retiring Mrs. Edwards was employed by Struthers Board of Education and worked as a cook in the cafeteria.
Mr. Edwards retired in 1995 from the city of Struthers Police Department where he was a detective. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwards are members of Struthers United Methodist Church.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
