Dinner dance held to celebrate Tonya jubilee

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- A dinner dance July 22 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel social hall, Youngstown, honored Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tonya, 9 Foster Drive, for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts who issued invitations for the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Cathy and Ernie Kalenits of Poland, Dave and Judy Tonya of Connoquenessing, Pa., and Steve and Linda Tonya of Jacksonville, Fla.
The former Ann Crnarich and Mr. Tonya exchanged marriage vows July 14, 1951, at St. Nicholas Church, Struthers.
Mr. and Mrs. Tonya are members of St. Paul the Apostle Church.
Mrs. Tonya retired from Gorant's Candy in Youngstown.
Also retired, Mr. Tonya worked at Bessemer Cement Co.
The family includes four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
