CORNERSBURG -- Nuptial vows were exchanged at 2 p.m. July 6 by Alicia Doyle and Jeffrey Layton, both of 7350 West Blvd., Youngstown, as they were united in marriage by the Rev. Dale Giffin at Zion Lutheran Church.
A reception was held afterward at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman for the daughter of Judith Doyle, 4804 E. Webb Road, Austintown, and Jim Doyle of Vienna, and the son of William and Selene Layton, 2134 Elm Trace, Austintown.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Sarasota, Fla., and live in Austintown.
The bride's white silk princess style gown was enhanced with pearls and embroidery and featured a V-neckline, fitted bodice and a chapel train.
Black gowns were worn by Heidi Schmitt and Maureen Thomas, the honor attendants, and by the bridesmaids, Adrienne Rubin; Audrey Stanley; Sarah Doyle, the bride's sister; and Kelly Doyle, her sister-in-law.
The duties of best man were performed by Stuart Luther, and serving as groomsmen were Eric Thompson; Jeff Moritz; Roger Humberson; and the bride's brothers, Noah Doyle and Craig Doyle. Ring bearers were Noah Chase-Schmitt and Alec Thomas, and guests were ushered by the groom's brother, Bill Layton, and his cousin, Jonathon Miller.
The bride is a hairstylist at Bellezza Hair Salon in Boardman, and the groom is employed at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown.
