Youngstown's control board approved these items Thursday:
Severance of $9,164 for Frances Eichelberger, who retired June 29 as a deputy clerk in the clerk of courts office.
Spending $12,559 to buy a voice stress analysis machines from the National Institute for Truth Verification and training for two officers to use the equipment. The voice analyzer will be used in internal and criminal investigations.
Buying two used cars from the state salvage lot, not to exceed $12,000, for the police department to replace two cars that were totaled in accidents.
A contract not to exceed $50,000 with Cohen and Co. to perform financial reviews of the agencies that receive funding from the city Community Development Agency.
