NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A group for people rearing children of relatives will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the McGill Community Center, 1701 Albert St. Dinner will be served, and child care will be provided. Reservations are required by calling (724) 654-8370 or (724) 654-2741 by Thursday.

Mount Everest climber
HOWLAND -- Andy Politz of Columbus will discuss his recent expedition to Mount Everest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Cord Camera. He will recount efforts to find the lost camera of British mountaineers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine, who disappeared June 8, 1924, while trying to reach the summit.
