July 16
Criminal mischief: The Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., reported damage under $500 to an electrical outlet in a pavilion behind the church. It was the fourth episode of vandalism there in 18 months, a church official told police.
Theft: Two males shortchanged CVS Pharmacy, 601 E. Main St., out of $39.
Assault: An ex-employee is banned from Yager's Sparkle Market, 8 N. Broad St., after he swore and spit in the manager's face when he was told he was fired.
AUSTINTOWN
July 15
Aggravated burglary: A 29-year-old man entered through a window of an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old female.
Theft: $106 in diesel fuel was reported stolen from the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal mischief: A 300-pound decorative cow was tipped in the 100 block of N. Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: An in-dash stereo, a checkbook and $2,000 were stolen from a vehicle at Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken by a pellet gun in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.
Attempted burglary: A screen was torn in a residence in the 80 block of Idaho Road.
July 16
Theft: Vehicles were entered and items were stolen at Youngstown Baptist Church, 354 S. Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.
Auto theft: A 1987 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer was stolen from Ohio Auto Brokers, 565 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken at Davis Elementary School, 4302 Maple Ave.
Theft: A purse and CD player were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
Theft: Eight Scrappers baseball tickets, a parking pass and $100 in cash were stolen from Gateways, 130 Javit Court.
Criminal damage: A male damaged a door and lock at a residence in the 1000 block of Compass West.
July 17
Theft: Money and CDs were taken from a vehicle in the 300 block of Bentwillow Court.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at Big Lots, 1730 S. Raccoon Road.
Auto theft: A 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from McDonalds, 4241 Kirk Road.
Theft: A 1990 Chevrolet truck was stolen from the 3000 block of Crum Road.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from the 4000 block of Pembrook Drive.
Theft: Twenty CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3000 block of Bentwillow Court.
July 18
Theft: Tools were taken from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Bentwillow Court.
Burglary: Credit cards and cash were taken from a residence in the 1000 block of N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: Items were damaged in a rear yard in the 3000 block of Forty-Second Street.
Theft: The front tires were stolen from a vehicle at Bob Eddy Dodge.
Theft: Bicycles were taken from a carport in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Theft: A boy's bicycle was stolen from the 4000 block of Falcon Drive.
Break-in: A laptop computer was stolen from Superior Auto Body, 51 Fitch Blvd.
Theft: Tools were taken from a residence in the 1200 block of N. Canfield-Niles Road.
July 19
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged in the 4000 block of Plumbrook Drive.
Theft: Jewelry was stolen at Samuel's Jewelers, 3700 Mahoning Ave.
Break-in: A soft drink machine was damaged at Champ Park.
Theft: Credit cards and keys were taken from an auto in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A briefcase was stolen from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Sandalwood Lane.
Auto theft: A 1988 Ford Escort was stolen from the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.
July 20
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.
Auto theft: A 1998 Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from Days Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
July 21
Auto theft: A 1991 GMC truck was stolen from a Kirk Road car wash. It was recovered, but a CD player and speakers were missing.
Theft: Aluminum siding and nails were stolen from a lot in Country Side development, New Road and S. Turner Road.
Theft: A Motorola cell phone was stolen from McDonald's, 850 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
