Parents announce Cooke-Whirrett engagement

The engagement of Amy Lynne Cook and James Michael Whirrett, both of 4934 E. Rockwell Road, Austintown, is announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Joe and Carolyn Artle, 14719 French St., Damascus, and the future groom is a son of Dave and Lee Whirrett, 4938 Maple Drive, Vienna.
The couple will exchange vows during an open ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at Avalon Inn and Resort, Howland.
The future bride is an assistant at Morgan Stanley Investments in Akron. She earned an associate degree in business management at Youngstown State University.
Mr. Whirrett attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss., and is employed at General Motors Corp., Lordstown.
