Abortions
The House rejected an amendment by Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., that sought to strike Section 103, which prohibits federal funding to pay for an abortion. The vote was 169 yes to 253 no.

For the children
The House disagreed with the Senate amendment to close the achievement gap with accountability, flexibility, and choice, so that no child is left behind.
