Mr. and Mrs. Glavan are honored at family event for 50th jubilee

POLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Glavan, 7150 Indian Trail, were honored June 23 on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary during a family dinner held at the Chart House in Cincinnati.
Hosts and hostesses for the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Drs. Kenneth and Carmella Glavan of Villa Hills, Ky.; Edward and Elke Glavan of St. Leon-Rot, Germany; and Janice Glavan and George Agiovlasitis of Scottsdale, Ariz. The family circle includes two grandchildren.
The former Josephine F. Gerlock and Mr. Glavan exchanged marriage vows June 23, 1951, at Chapel of the Friendly Bells in Youngstown.
Mr. and Mrs. Glavan retired in 1986. He was president of Glavan Builders, where she was secretary-treasurer.
Mr. Glavan is a World War II veteran and a member of VFW Post 3538 in Struthers.
