Mass and dinner honor jubilee of the Gearharts
AUSTINTOWN -- A Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and a family dinner July 14 at Anthony's on the River, Youngstown, honored Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gearhart, 78 Westminster Ave., for the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts and hostesses for the dinner were the honorees' children and spouses, John and Phyllis Gearhart and James and Linda Gerberry, all of Mineral Ridge.
The former Marie Morin and Mr. Gearhart exchanged wedding vows July 17, 1951. They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary and its senior citizens club.
Mrs. Gearhart retired in 1982 from Packard Electric Co., Austintown.
A retired truck driver, Mr. Gearhart worked for Werner Continental, West Middlesex, Pa., and retired in 1984. He served in the military police in the U.S. Army.
The family circle includes seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
