MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. -- Living in Rochester Hills, Mich., are Scott D. Adams and his bride, the former Julie L. Weiss, who were married by the Rev. Frederick Harms at 4:30 p.m. June 16 at Mackinac Island Mission Church.
The couple were honored at a reception at Mission Point Resort before leaving for a honeymoon to Hawaii.
Richard and Gail Weiss, 547 Hickory Hollow Drive, Canfield, are parents of the bride. The groom is a son of Nancy McKinley of Chagrin Falls and Dave Adams of Cincinnati.
Mrs. Adams earned a bachelor's degree at Miami University, Oxford, and a juris doctor degree at Capital Law School, Columbus.
An engineer at Eaton Corp., Rochester Hills, the groom has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a master's in engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland.
The bodice of the bride's white silk satin gown was accented by pearls and crystals.
Honor attendant was Margaret Coggin of Cumming, Ga. She wore an ice blue gown, as did the bridesmaids, Rebecca Ravas of University Heights, Christy Fry of Grand Junction, Colo., and Julie Showalter of Conneaut.
Best man was James Morris of Apex, N.C. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Ravas of University Heights, Thomas Murphy of Harrisburg, Pa., and Joseph Walsh of New York, the groom's cousin.
Other participants were Laura Critchfield of Akron, the bride's sister, and Melissa Grierson of Holland, Mich., the groom's sister.
