AUSTINTOWN -- The Rev. James Korda heard the exchange of vows between Heather Scurti, daughter of Gary and Deborah Scurti, all of Austintown, and Justin Durkin of Youngstown, son of Cheryl Durkin of Youngstown and James Durkin of Canfield, in a ceremony at 2 p.m. June 30 at St. Joseph Church.
A reception was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall, Youngstown. After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple live in Youngstown.
A laboratory assistant at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, the bride has an associate degree in biology and medical assisting from ETI Technical College, Niles. Mr. Durkin is a fireman with Youngstown Fire Department.
Sequins and pearls accented the fitted bodice on the bride's white tulle gown styled with a full skirt.
Honor attendants were Krista McDougal and Michelle Reed. Bridesmaids were Dawn Schneider and Lesley Durkin, the groom's sisters, and Dina Bondi, Dawn Marsh and Missy Judy. They wore cornflower-colored dresses. Junior bridesmaids were Ashley Nagy, the bride's cousin, and Danielle Bernat, the groom's cousin. Flower girl was Kayley Scurti, the bride's daughter, and Taylor Reed.
Best men were I. Phillip Durkin, his brother, and Kristopher Scandy. Groomsmen were Richard Schneider, his brother-in-law; and Brian Ferguson, Paul Gonzalez, Branden Silvis and Carl Farina IV. Junior groomsmen were Michael and Matthew Scurti, her brothers, and ring bearer was Kane Durkin, his nephew.
