FOSTER FAMILIES Homeless pets
Promises for Pets, a nonprofit Lawrence County affiliate of Angels for Animals, has started a foster program for homeless dogs and cats. Foster families are needed, and all animals are available for adoption.
The nonprofit group provides all veterinary expenses for dogs and cats in foster care, including spaying and neutering the animal. There is an adoption fee that will cover some of those medical costs.
The animals up for adoption are featured on the group's Web site, www.promisesforpets.com, and petfinder.org, and through other agencies offering pet adoptions, such as Angels for Animals.
