CARISSA SAYERSGARY HICKENBOTTOM
STALEY, N.C. -- Carissa Lynn Sayers and Gary Lee Hickenbottom were married at 6 p.m. June 16 during an outdoor ceremony at the home of the groom's parents, Michael and Patricia Hickenbottom, 1199 Brown Crossroad.
The bride is a daughter of Ernie and Janet Augustine of Salem and Thomas A. Sayers of Columbiana. She was given in marriage by her son, Joshua Parr.
The Rev. James Brewer solemnized the ceremony, and a reception followed at the Hickenbottom residence.
After a honeymoon to Naggie Valley, N.C., the couple are living at 1197 Brown Crossroad.
The groom's sister, Beradine Hernandez of Staley, was honor attendant, and bridesmaid was his niece, Chelsey Hernandez, also of Staley. Flower girl was his niece, Corinne Hernandez of Staley.
Patrick Hickenbottom of Greensboro, N.C., performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsman was another brother, Michael Hickenbottom of Staley.
Also participating was April Miller of Liberty, N.C.
Mr. Hickenbottom is employed as a plumber with Able Plumbing Co. in North Carolina.
