AUSTINTOWN -- Marcus Thomas LLC, an advertising and public relations agency with offices in Cleveland and Austintown, has promoted three employees within its public relations division and research group. Tom Matthews has been named management supervisor in the public relations division. Matthews joined the company in 1996 after nearly 14 years as a journalist. He has won public relations awards from the Public Relations Society of America and journalism awards from the Ohio Associated Press. Matthews has a bachelor's degree in general studies from Kent State University and lives in Warren.
Timothy Bennett was named account manager in the public relations division. Bennett worked as a journalist in Indiana and New York and won the William Riley Parker Prize for his teaching at Indiana University before joining the company in 1998. He has a bachelor's degree in English from Wittenberg University and a master's degree in American literature from Indiana University, and he lives in Bedford.
Beth Kaiser, also of Bedford, has been named a research associate in the research group. She has a bachelor's degree in business from Miami University of Ohio and joined the company in 2000.
CANFIELD -- Innis Maggiore Group, a regional advertising and public relations firm with offices in Canfield and Canton, has hired Missy L. Schafer as a public relations specialist in its Canfield office. Schafer came to the company from Marcus Thomas, where she worked in new media and public relations for seven years. She is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute and lives in Berlin Center.
WARREN -- Sherman & amp; Associates, a marketing communications agency in Warren, has appointed Paul A. Lewis its vice president of business development and Sandra Heilman as accounting manager. Lewis, an Akron resident, has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Richmond and a master's degree in business from George Washington University. He headed his own marketing research and consulting group for 12 years and was director of marketing at companies in Cleveland and Marietta. Heilman lives in Champion and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Mount Union College. She was employed as inventory accountant at Flambeau Corp. before joining Sherman & amp; Associates.

YOUNGSTOWN -- John Zarlenga has joined the 27 First News and Fox 17/62 sales department as an account manager. A Boardman resident, he had been an account executive for The Prodigal Media Co. He is a 1996 graduate of Canfield High School and earned a bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations from Youngstown State University.
DAY CARE
YOUNGSTOWN -- Wee Care Day Care and Learning Centre has recently hired Lynan P. Buente as vice president of corporate development. She will be in charge of day-to-day operations of the facilities and will manage corporate development in the centers. Lynan's previous work experience includes Procter & amp; Gamble, CPC International, Sprint Cellular and WKBN-TV.

AUSTINTOWN -- InfoCision Management Corp. has promoted Brett Dillon to program supervisor in the operations department at its Austintown facility. Dillon, a Cortland resident, has a bachelor's degree in marketing management from Youngstown State University and has been a supervisor intern.
