WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Southwest Regional police said they're continuing to investigate the break-in of a garage at a Wheatland Road residence July 13. They said a window in the side door of the garage was broken and three ATVs inside were taken.
A green 1998 Honda Foreman 400, a green 2001 Honda Foreman 450 and a camouflage 2001 Polaris Ducks Unlimited 500 were stolen.

23 bracelets stolenfrom jewelry store
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are investigating the theft of 23 gold bracelets from a Mahoning Avenue jewelry store. An employee of Samuel's Jewelers told police Thursday that six tennis bracelets with diamonds, four with gemstones and 13 other bracelets were missing.
She had last seen the items when a store owner pulled the bracelets out of the case for a customer around noon Tuesday. The case had not been broken into, but the employee said a customer could have accessed the case when the store was busy and employees were helping other shoppers, police reports say.
Four employees have access to the case.
Woman reports car stolen from dealership
AUSTINTOWN -- A Youngstown woman reported her car stolen from the lot of a Raccoon Road auto dealer, police reports say.
The 33-year-old woman said she left her 1988 red Ford Escort in the lot of AJ Auto sales around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Because the shop was closed, she left her keys on the visor, with the understanding that mechanics would look at the car Thursday.
She discovered it had been stolen around 6 p.m. Thursday when an employee called to ask her why she had never dropped off the car, reports say.
Man free on bond
AUSTINTOWN -- A 19-year-old Idaho Road man is free on $4,600 bond after being arrested this week when police discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his bedroom during a search of his home.
William D. Jordan is charged with trafficking drugs in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana drug abuse.
Among the items confiscated during Thursday's search were nine small bags of marijuana, two postal scales, plastic bags, pipes, marijuana residue, a .22-caliber rifle and a switchblade knife, police records show.
Block watch meeting
YOUNGSTOWN -- Buckeye Eyes and Ears Block Watch meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Word of Grace Church, 2724 Mount Vernon Ave.
John Nittoli, block watch president, and Councilman John Swierz, D-7th, will discuss ways to prevent trash on properties, drug abuse and trafficking and vandalism in watch area neighborhoods.

Support withdrawn
ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- State Rep. Frank LaGrotta has withdrawn his support of legislation that would put a two-year moratorium on landfill expansions in Pennsylvania.
LaGrotta of Ellwood City, D-9th, said he recently learned the bill would remove a municipality's right to object to landfills' being located in its boundaries. House Bill 1436 would only permit a municipality to have an arbitration hearing that would not decide the location of the landfill.
LaGrotta instead will support House Bill 1600, which also puts a moratorium on landfill expansions but does not limit municipalities' rights to object to landfills, he said.
He has been part of a large number of Lawrence County officials who publicly oppose a landfill proposed by Robert Sechan. Sechan applied earlier this month to put an industrial waste landfill near McConnell's Mill State Park and Slippery Rock Creek, a domestic water source for southern Lawrence County.
