Doreen Quear, John J. Valley to wed Aug. 25

The engagement of Doreen Audrey Quear, Johnson Circle, Hillsville, Pa., and John Joseph Valley, 1642 Thalia Ave., Youngstown, is being announced by her mother, Dorothy Schmitt of Bessemer, Pa., and his parents, Veronica and Gary Valley, 791 Presidential Drive, Boardman.
The future bride also is a daughter of the late Fred Schmitt.
Invitations will be extended for the couple's wedding to take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park and for a reception that evening at The Georgetown, also in Boardman.
The bride-elect is employed as a consultant with Verizon in New Castle, Pa.
Mr. Valley is a self-employed painting contractor.
