Canfield Fair contest
CANFIELD -- Crafting art from a bag of household scraps is the challenge of the newest Canfield Fair activity. Registration forms for the Mystery Bag Contest, to be Aug. 29 and 31 at the Fairgrounds' Outdoor Arts Gazebo, are due Aug. 10.
Contestants are divided into teams at 1 p.m. each day, then have 20 minutes to mold items such as pipe cleaners, buttons and lace into works of art. Creations will be judged, then displayed in the Floral and Fine Arts Building for the rest of the fair.
