CORTLAND -- The speaker at this month's "Breakfast at the Lake" is Gene Springer of the Youngstown State University Center for Creative Retirement. From 10 to 11 a.m. July 26, he will discuss programs available to seniors interested in YSU classes. He will be at the pavilion at Lake Vista of Cortland, 303 N. People who suffer from chronic pain may want to keep a record so they can provide doctors with a complete picture of their condition. Library Friendship Day
NEWTON FALLS -- Friendship Day at the Newton Falls Public Library youth services department will be a chance for youngsters ages 10 and up to learn how to make friendship bracelets and hemp jewelry. Registration is required for the 3 p.m. Aug. 1 program.
The library also will hold a summer reading party 1-3 p.m. Aug. 3. for all children participating in the summer reading club. Ice cream, face painting and games will be featured.
