Board to appeal railroad decision

BOARDMAN -- The Boardman Township Park Board will appeal a federal court judge's decision that led to the reopening of a railroad line in the township.
Park Director Dan Slagle said today, "The board has decided to appeal the decision of Judge [Peter] Economus."
The board owns the property, said Slagle, and will appeal on the grounds that the Youngstown & amp; Southern Railway and the Columbiana County Port Authority didn't own the line or have a right of way.
