Lake to River Council plans annual Fore Girls Golf Classic



Each participant in the third annual fund-raiser will receive a prize.
BROOKFIELD -- Girl Scouts Lake to River Council will sponsor its third annual Fore Girls Golf Classic on July 31 at Yankee Run Golf Course, 7610 Sharon-Wilson Road.
Registration and a continental breakfast will get under way at 8 a.m., and there will be a shotgun start at 9. Dinner and prizes will follow play. Every player will receive a prize.
What it costs: The entry fee is $85 per player, which includes greens fees, carts per foursome, breakfast, lunch, dinner, prizes and use of the Par View GPS System. No metal spikes are permitted on this course.
Hole sponsorship is $95. This includes the company's name posted at the hole, listed in the program, newsletter and annual report. Those donating prizes also will be recognized in the program, newsletter and annual report.

The purpose: Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit the Girl Scout program, which serves some 8,800 girls in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties. The Lake to River Council office is located at 980 Warren Ave., Niles.
