OK FOR NOW: If this is July, then corn should be knee high. It's higher than that on most area farms, but agriculture experts say rain is badly needed to keep it and other crops on schedule. Last week's temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s were ideal, but a little early for pollination of corn such as this standing along state Route 45 in Trumbull County. A combination of rain and last week's thermometer readings would be perfect this week, they say.
