SHARON, Pa. -- Dave Crawley from the Pennsylvania Humanities Council will present "Street Corner Magic: Vocal Legends of Western Pennsylvania" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Shenango Valley Community Library, Sharpsville Avenue at East State Street. The program includes vintage video clips of performances and interviews by those local groups that have made a mark in vocal music.
The program is free; those who attend will be given a free pass to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame & amp; Museum in Sharon. Crawley produces and reports KDKA-TV's "Hometown Faces and Places."
Carriage Lane thefts
CANFIELD -- Police are investigating the theft of purses, cash, checks and Social Security and credit cards from two homes on Carriage Lane. Residents of a home in the 300 block told police a theft occurred Sunday afternoon. Residents of a home in the 200 block said their theft occurred between 11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Police found no signs of forced entry.
