BENEFITS
XRC'S Marina, state Route 258, at the Shenango Reservoir in Clark, Pa., will hold a Christmas in July benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society from 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Featured throughout the day will be treats and a magic show for children, food, the arrival of Santa Claus with gifts for the first 200 children, a raffle, music, dancing, judging of decorated boats, and fireworks. CAR SHOWS
XAllied Forces Car Club will hold a car show Aug. 5 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Bazetta. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to noon with awards being presented from 3 to 4 p.m. For information call (330) 652-6160 or (330) 369-3216. Admission is $3. Registration of cars is $10. The event also will feature a craft show, Chinese auction 50/50 drawing, door prizes and food vendors. Proceeds will benefit local charities.
XLiberty High School Band Boosters and Allied Forces Car Club will hold a car show from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, Liberty. CAR WASHES
XBoardman Band Flagline will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Chili's in the Southern Park Mall parking lot and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Pizza Hut at Route 224 and South Avenue.
CRAFT SHOWS
XHowland Senior Scope will hold a Christmas in July craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the center, 8273 High St., Howland. A Chinese auction also will be held for a variety of donated sports memorabilia.
FESTIVALS
XParadise United Church of Christ, Calla and New Buffalo roads, Canfield, will sponsor a lawn festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature homecooked food, a country store, clown, magic, face painting and a raffle.
XSt. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, will hold a homecoming festival on the church grounds Sunday. Mass will be at 11 a.m., and the event will run from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Admission will be charged at the door. A variety of foods and activities will be available.
HOME TOURS
XJefferson Depot, 147 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, is sponsoring a tour of five historic homes in Jefferson Village from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Proceeds will be used to expand the historical/educational village. The donation is $5, and tickets are available at the depot. For more information call (440) 293-5532.
