Who's hot: According to the statistics of the last five games, Angel Bastardo is leading the Scrappers with a .389 mark based on a 7-for-18 performance. If you back up five more games, Bastardo is just 10 points lower than that mark at .379 with 11 hits in 29 at-bats. During the 10 games, Bastardo has homered once, scored twice and driven in four runs. After Bastardo, Jonathan Van Every is next in line at .290. The only other two Scrappers at or above the .250 mark are Miguel Quintana at .256 through 10 games and Maximo Made at .250 in nine outings.

Their number one: In the series, the top draft pick of the Pirates and the eighth pick overall, Jon VanBenschoten, made his professional debut. In the opening game, VanBenschoten had a key hit as the Cutters won 4-1, while in Sunday night's 6-1 Williamsport win, VanBenschoten had an outstanding game as he went 3-for-4 with a pair of singles and a double. He is from Milford, Ohio, and played his college ball at Kent State University.
