PHARMACIST
Shelley earns degree
Scott Shelley, son of Don and Pat Shelley of Girard, and a 1992 graduate of Girard High School, earned his doctor of pharmacy degree at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in May. He completed his residency at Tampa General Hospital and at Moffit Cancer Center, and is employed by Merck-Medco in Tampa, Fla.
HONORS
Yuhas receives award
Steven Eugene Yuhas, son of Eugene and Rosemarie Yuhas of Struthers, has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Dayton School of Law Alumni Association.
A 1978 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, and a 1985 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law, Atty. Yuhas is with the law firm of Flanagan, Leiberman, Hoffman & amp; Swaim in Dayton. He is the youngest alumnus to ever receive this award. His projects and services include founding the Greater Dayton Volunteer Law Project in 1988 and membership in the Dayton Bar Association Ethics Committee since 1990.
He and his wife, the former Maureen C. Newkold, live in Kettering, Ohio, with their two children.
SCOUTS
Boy earns Eagle Award
Andrew Lewandowski, 15, son of Eric and Gina Lewandowski, Jade Circle, Canfield, received his Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor on July 8 at Canfield United Methodist Church.
In 1996, Andrew joined Troop 25. His scoutmaster is Kevin Prus Sr.
He is the troop's scribe and has been its senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, and den chief. He has 23 merit badges and his Scouting awards include Brotherhood Member of the Wapashuwi Lodge 56, Order of the Arrow, 4th Year Pipestone, Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and Pope Pius XII Award.
He attended Seven Ranges Summer Camp, and received the Bob Roberts Memorial Back Patch. His special activities include Tinnerman Wilderness Canadian Canoe Base, Order of the Arrow and Ceremonies Team, and Seven Ranges Pipestone Ceremonies Team.
DOCTOR
Parlink earns degree
Alison Parlink, daughter of Joseph and Rachel Parlink of Boardman, received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Ohio University. Parlink graduated from Boardman High School and Youngstown State University, and is doing a residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation specializing in pediatrics.
